Who we are and what we do
Dr. Bernhard Fuchs
Since November 2005, Gabriele Randlshofer has been Managing Director of the IPA, with responsibilities for the development and implementation of the overall strategy, business plan and annual budget, and management of the association’s project and daily administrative work. Furthermore, she represents the IPA with international stakeholders and forges ties with other metals and mining associations, including the European Precious Metals Federation (EPMF) and the German Fachvereinigung Edelmetalle.
Previously, Gabriele ran her own agency, COMMcreativ, a full-service PR agency focussing on the IT industry, before becoming Managing Director of the Munich office and the technology practice of a global PR communications company. Prior to this, Gabriele held several positions in an international management consultancy with national and international assignments.
Since 2006, Tania Bossi works as Communications Manager at the IPA. She is responsible for internal and external communications, corporate identity, producing IPA publications, and the website.
Furthermore, Tania assists the Managing Director in running members meetings and committee work. She is also taking care of the topics sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment at the association.
Before joining the IPA, Tania worked as PR consultant at Edelman, an international communications agency, where she was responsible for PR consulting and client servicing, developing and implementing communications plans, CEO positioning, event management, and the editing of PR texts. From 1998 to 2002, she worked as Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Applied Policy Research (CAP), a policy think tank, where she was involved in the development of strategic concepts and policy consultation at the European level, focusing on European integration, the reform structure and EU policy development as well as German Affairs. Tania holds a Master's degree (M.A.) from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich in Political Science, Communications Sciences, and Psychology.
Government Affairs Manager
Since May 2011, Julian is monitoring regulatory developments in Europe, US, SA, Japan and China with the objective of giving members regular updates and recommendations, as well as working with the members on developing joint industry strategies and statements where appropriate. He will also act as interface between the IPA and legislators, for example in the EU, where a greater focus is currently placed on the Raw Materials Initiative.
Julian holds a masters degree in Political Science from Ludwig-Maximilian-University Munich, and a masters degree in Peace and Security Studies from Hamburg University. During his studies, he held several internships with members of the German and European Parliament and with EADS where he was responsible for the analysis of economic-political topics and the development of strategy papers. Since 2009, he acted as project leader for proCampus in Kaiserslautern and was in charge of project and event management, research and development of strategy papers and the planning and implementation of PR activities.
