Sustainability Roundtable

In 2009, the IPA held a stakeholder roundtable in Brussels to inaugurate its Sustainability Principles and discuss an outline of its sustainability strategy with representatives from EU institutions.

The roundtable garnered high-level representatives from all relevant Commission Directorates-General (DGs Environment, Research, Enterprise, Trade, and Development), Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) as well as management and C-level representatives from the platinum group metals (PGM) industry.

The objective of this first sustainability roundtable was to test the sustainability strategy developed by the PGM industry against the expectations of EU regulators in order to gather feedback and input which can be used to complement the roadmap and adapt the strategic direction where needed.
