IPA appoints Aloys d’Harambure as new CEO

The International Platinum Group Metals Association (IPA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Aloys d’Harambure as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 1, 2025. He succeeds Gabriele Randlshofer, who retired in October 2024 after successfully leading the organization for 19 years.

Aloys d’Harambure brings a wealth of experience to the IPA, having spent the last 10 years advancing the International Manganese Institute (IMnI), a Paris-based organization representing 130+ leading manganese companies across 30 countries. Prior to his tenure at IMnI, he served as Market Research Manager for the International Chromium Development Association (ICDA). Aloys d’Harambure is also a regular speaker at global conferences in the metal and minerals industry. Dr. Bernhard Fuchs, Chairman of the IPA and Senior Vice President at Umicore, expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment:

“We are thrilled to welcome our new CEO, whose extensive experience and vision will be instrumental in advancing the IPA's mission. With the growing importance of platinum group metals (PGMs) in the global transition to a more sustainable energy future, we are confident that under this new leadership, the IPA will continue to play an important role in driving the visibility and value of PGMs in both the short-term and long-term.”

The IPA’s near-term objectives focus on increasing the visibility of platinum group metals as a strategic contributor to decarbonization and energy transition.
